:eek: okay, that smiley is so cool.
My website is based on HTML. When you scroll down, the picture on my backround scrolls down with it. I would like to have the backround stay put, and only the words scroll. I've seen this on other sites and it is very cool. Do you know how to do this with HTML? :rolleyes:

I'd say you'd need ... , MenuMeters, ...MenuMeters is worth the space it eats on my iBook menubar. :)
No mention of any virtual desktop manager. My Mac usage is crippled without CodeTek VirtualDesktop.

Does MacRumors give users the capability to block selected users? There are a couple users who frequently reply to my posts, derail the topic, and make this forum much less useful to me. I am considering not posting to this forum anymore because of this.

I use powersupport and nearly every PS installation will do this and it's super easy to fix. Drag your thumb nail (nail side of your thumb down) slowly over the bubble area, starting a half inch from the trouble spot until your nail slides off the phone. Keep working it and it'll get smaller and smaller then disappear. After each nail drag press with your thumb HARD on the spot and rub around slowly. Then drag again.
This worked well, thanks for the help

Don't think too much into it. You won't be disappointed when you're wrong...
No iPod cameras.
No Air updates.
No MacBook/Pro until Montevina
I'd like Cinema Displays with iSight and HDCP, but...

You may want to post some more details. I think you are trying to say I frame also, I dont' think there is an "A" frame.
I meant a frame, not an A Frame.
Regardless does anyone have any ideas?

What I do is use a Zip 100 drive. They can store about 100MB per disk and you can pick up the SCSI versions of the drives cheap. Getting the Zip disk driver onto the Mac Classic isn't too bad, you just need the right version for your System.
Then use a USB Zip Drive or a G3 or G4 tower (or other Mac) which has a Zip 100 drive built-in and copy the files. Thankfully a lot of the G3/G4 towers had these drives built in, or you can get an IDE one for a PowerMac. But a USB version is ideal for portability.
I have found this to be one of the easiest ways to copy files from older systems. If you have another legacy Mac you can always copy things via AppleTalk via a serial cable or a LocalTalk connection. It's slow but it works! Or if you have an Asante SCSI to Ethernet adapter you can try that, but that's a long shot. ;)
For more info you may want to look at the 68kmla.net forums, that place is filled with vintage Mac owners that know their stuff. Good luck! :D

Has anyone noticed with Lion that the amount of available space being reported is seriously off? On my MBA, which I store almost nothing on, it's telling me that I'm using around 80 gigs of space, with about 40 available.
When I install WhatSize to check this out a little more closely, it looks like I'm using about 30 gigs total.. not 80, and I'm finding this strange.
Cheers!

That's why I reserved mine at the store so I can go pick it up and not have to deal with my delivery getting pushed back. Ill probably call tomorrow and check. I can't wait.

If you are getting a 3G version, you can buy them at 5:00PM at the official Verizon or AT&T stores (not resellers). I'm at the Verizon Wireless in Turkey Creek and I am the only person here waiting for an iPad 2. Wait, two more people just walked in. So, 3 people. They are writing down names on a legal pad as you come in.
Just a heads up, if you think lines are for suckers.

While putting my mini mac back together I noticed that the wire for the front antenna came loose and not got a clue where it's ment to be?
What is this antenna for anyway? Maybe I don't need it?

Does anyone have available a 16GB new iPhone? what price would you be willing to sell for? Im just considering my options with the old iPhone, and the new one!
Thanks
Edit: I am after the original iPhone. I want to compare the price of an original 16gb iPhone to the 3G iPhone I will be able to buy soon. If anyone has an original for a good price, I will buy.

Hi all, Ive just bought a couple of xeon 5160s(dual core 3ghz) off ebay (paid 60) to upgrade my 5130s(dual core 2ghz).
1 - My current cpus run at about 28-31deg C at idle, what temps should I expect from these new cpus?
2 - Can anyone suggest the best thermal paste to use? I had a look on the net and there are about 5 different options choices, all claiming to be the best.
3 - Can anyone reassure me this is worthwhile :(

Shouldn't that be:
IOServiceGetMatchingServices
It is case sensitive you know!
What happens if you try to find something that isn't implemented by yourself.
B
Sorry for it. Above it will appear in 64bit mac os, but 32bit os is ok.
Another problem :
My device is hid device, if I use the following code, my device can't be found.
IOHIDManagerRef mgr;
mgr = IOHIDManagerCreate(kCFAllocatorDefault, kIOHIDOptionsTypeNone);
IOHIDManagerSetDeviceDeviceMatching(mgr, NULL);
IOHIDManagerOpen(mgr, kIOHIDOptionsTypeNone);
CFSetRef device_set = IOHIDManagerCopyDevices(mgr);
CFIndex num_devices = CFSetGetCount(device_set);
.....
then I print all device fount(num_devices = 4), which are apple keyboard ,mouse and so on, my device can't be found.
Why? thank u!

Is the Gevey sim reliable? Will my 3G connection work with it?
I'm sorry but I don't have any personal experience with it so I can't give you a reliable recommendation. Your best bet is to search through the forum and also some Google searches to read other people's experiences.
Thanks,
Henry

I think the issue is the iTunes account. As long as you are using the same iTunes account you can sync as many iPhones as you want. In fact, I sync 3 iPhones with my iTunes account.
I'm not sure if you can set up two iTunes accounts on one computer. Once you answer that you'll know how to proceed.

As long as both iBooks are the same size 12" or 14", the battery is interchangeable. Only way to find out if the battery works is to try it out. But like already mentioned, it will probably be severely degraded and who knows, it could last 5 minutes or 3 hours. Just try it and find out.
