Finally, von D Day Book Contest Winner

Looong ago, this blog had a contest celebrating Kat von D Day on last March. A 24 hours make up giveaway was won but after all that was happening I did not announce the winner of a Tattoo Chronicles copy.

Today Ophelie B. from France received her "OMG I WON" email and I hope she's jumping and yelling of happiness :)
The winner has been chosen by a random number generator among subscribers of the blog.
Thank you so much for making another contest happen.

I don't want to bore you all with my apologies. I want things get back to where they used to be: informal, fun and regular.

Much love

This is gonna hurt

Another man brings fresh news: Nikki Sixx. He is releasing soon new stuff.
This week, Sixx A.M. (Sixx, DJ Ashba, Michael) video Lies of Beautiful People was lauched after a long wait. Their last album was released on 2007.

Nikki was a busy bee touring with Mötley Crue and working in his successful daily radio program, SixxSense. And not busy enough, he was writting an autobiography called This is gonna hurt. A journal that includes his thoughts and best work as a photographer. Avaliable one moth later that was been said: April  2011 under Harper Collins edit.(Heroin Diaries, High Voltage, Tattoo Chronicles).

Meanwhile all these projects were in progress, Nikki and Kat were a couple and for this reason, Kat has an important presence in his works as a muse an inspiration.
Lies of Beautiful People video works perfect to promo both book and album since both share the same title: This is gonna hurt. You can enjoy a nice collection of pictures, from behind scences to Nikki's best mindblowing photographies.

As it happened with Kat, editorial and production schedules and calendars made that we are now witnesses of private confessions a love that it's gone. A bittersweet delay of time, like a realtionship that it's already existing in a past time, post-mortem.

This is gonna hurt foreword was written by Kat, as Nikki once did for her High Voltage Tattoo best-seller (2008).

Images as the one above will be seen in the documentary that was recorded meanwhile Kat was writting her Tattoo Chronicles. Release date still unknown.

Esto va a doler

Otro hombre nos trae notícias sobre Kat, su antigua pareja Nikki Sixx está de estreno.
Esta semana ha visto la luz el videoclip del que es el primer single del esperado regreso de Sixx A.M.: Lies of Beautiful People.

Tattoo Chronicles has a winner

So yesteday I sent an email to the winner of the contest and here is her answer.
I went to the post office today so in a couple of week she'll receive her book at home.

I had a great time preparing tiny papers, writting your names on them, chosing the perfect bowl,  inviting a friend of mine to pic one of them and celebrating the joy of the winner, a girl from France.

I don't know if you guys will believe me but who is having more fun with all of this it's me, hi hi ^^
Because it's amazing to see you guys on Twitter supporting and RTing to help me, specially Ashlee, Paul, Natali and Bianca.
To the ones who showed up their enthusiasm with it, I just can say thank you Katrina, Cheryl, Paula, Ana Carolina, and so many others I am missing!

As I already said in other ocasions I would love to have a chance to give another book. So, don't lose your hopes, maybe next time!

This contest was born because it's difficult for some people to buy the book online (shipping rates), they can't find it in their countries, etc. I'm pleased to help and make it possible for someone :)
Now, new challenges wait for us: Kat von D Day is waiting for us!

L.A girl becomes a Tourist

Mickey, Kat's bro, does a great job journaling with images of his own their visit to Europe.
Like another couple of tourists walking down the streets impressed by the beautiness of the cities that you've always dreamt to visit before you die: Berlin, Amsterdam, Dublin...
The following images are a present for every person that enjoy a closer Kat. A papparazzi may shot  around 300 pictures per second, but he will never bring us one single picture as natural and fun as the ones posted below.

He is able to capture emotions :) Don't miss the chance of taking a look to his entry !

Kat von D cancels the last three dates in Germany

Kat von D just said in her MySpace blog  the reasons why she must cancel the ending of her book signing in Germany. (Read her post below)

The last Book Signing: BERLIN, 6th December
 THALIA Book Store 18:00 - 20:00
Canceled Dates
7th Dec. HAMBURG THALIA Book Store
8th Dec. MUNICh HUGENDUBEL STACHUS Book Store
9th Dec. COLOGNE THALIA Book Store

All her fans inmediatlely showed their support once the devasting news of her house were known.
She continued flying and signing book across Canada and Europe and this is admirable. Her actions speak from themselves: her strenght and her positive comments right after the fire, comforting her worried fans, sending people her love -"I can't begin to tell you guys how grateful I have been for all the positivity and all the love I've felt"

A bittersweet disappointing feeling is in the air for some of the people that booked a sit in a train to meet her in two days but  it's a very understandable situation now. There are things that need to be done and take care -"I've been told that I need to return as soon as humanly possible in order to deal with issues pertaining to the fire "

I am all hopes that in the near future Kat will find the way to meet all of us: Australia, Europe, Russia, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, ...

Book Signing Information·
Hey guys,
After much back and forth, I found out that I will not be able to make it to my last three book tour dates... I tried my best to make everything work out, but as many of you know, I had a fire a few weeks ago at my house, and I've been told that I need to return as soon as humanly possible in order to deal with issues pertaining to the fire.

I hope you guys know cancelling is definitely not something I have ever done and I never thought that I would have to. The last thing I would ever want is to disappoint any of you, especially those who carved out the time to come out and support this book and me. I can't begin to tell you guys how grateful I have been for all the positivity and all the love I've felt from you guys not only at the book signings but also through Twitter and in your prayers. I have never in my life felt this blessed!
My brother and I will have to return home after the Berlin signing. I'm especially bummed because you all know how much I love Germany! My connection to this great country is in my blood and I'm devastated that I won't be able to visit Hamburg, Munich, and Cologne. But I promise you, I will do my best to somehow, someday make it up to you guys, and hopefully reschedule these signings!
My apologies...

From the bottom of my heart,

Kat Von D

Kat von D arrives in Europe: London

It was Friday 26th November when Kat von D attended to the first of her European meetings.

Waterstone's Piccadilly 6:00PM: Doors were open to a huge crowd.ready to hug!

For every fan of Kat von D who lives outside The States this visit make their dreams for Kat coming to their towns are a bit closer to become real.

I've read comments about she's being nice with people because she's interested in selling many books. I couldn't hold my tongue before the booksigning ends:
"You can't be fake 24/7."

This post goes for my friend Paul / @ILuvKatvonD on Twitter because I knew how meaninful this moment was.
