Is there anyone who hasn't aim for having Kat von D endless leather legs while was reading Tattoo Chronicles?
Well, maybe not so hard, but she has a rad taste in clothes.

A couple of days ago I was browsing for leather leggings and Google led me not only to a cool pair but the ones that Kat already used on the cover of her book!

The brand is called Lipstick Prophets and perhaps she felt for the brand for their name :)

FAQ Kat von D Day

End up making a compilation of some doubts ...

...asked along the previous weeks and I've turned them into FAQ. I am receiving a lot of spam and this is the reason I didn't write my email on the video. Thanks for your understanding. 

• What is it?

Kat von D ay will reunite virtually fans from all around the world to celebrate her birthday  and show their love together wearing a hand-made T-shirt that reads Kat von D Day is on 08th March 2011. A video featuring all fans will be uploaded on Youtube for Kat to watch it!

• How can I join?

Design your own T-shirt and let your imagination flows! Print, paint, sew, use stencils, whatever you like most. Your design doesn’t need to be perfect, just have fun!

• I have my T-shirt done. What’s next?

Take a picture of yourself wearing you’re the t-shirt you already design and send it to the blog: howtolook@hotmail.com

• Is there a deadline to send my pictures?

From now until the day after the “Day”, 9th March midnight Spain / 7 pm US East  . I live in Europe and I am going to upload the video on 10th 8 am US East Hour/ Spain 2pm

• I don’t have enough time to create my own design but I’d like to be part of it. 

Don’t worry then. If you heard about it now and you’d like to get involved to, take a picture of yourself with a poster, book , magazine, cap.. whatever merch related to Kat and send me your pic.

• Is Kat von D involved in it?

No, she is not. This is just a buch of fans having fun but let’s hope she gets noticed!

• Can I show my merch in my pic also?

Yes, absolutely! Everything you want to share.

• Can I use the designs that I’ve seen in Kat von D Day Facebook page profile?

Yes, you can print them on your T-shirt if you like  :)

• Can I take a picture of me representing my country.

Actually it was part of the plan in the beginning but it was asking too much for some people.  If you want it , it’s ok, if you don’t, it’s ok too.

• What are you going to do with pics later?

Nothing, after the video is edited, I’m going to erase it from my computer.

Von - Dictionary

You may wonder now: What the hell Von - Dictionary is?

Well, don't know when it started to be part of Charlie's routine but my path with it began in mid January. I was chatting with this hillarious English girl on Twitter who was always able to find the perfect way to add a word related to Kat in almost every tweet. I found it fascinating.

One day I remember we were having a great time with the words, she, inventing them and me, trying to figure out the right meaning when Kat von D suddenly replied us adding a word by herself : Dont' forget Von Dork - she said.

In the same week I got an email from Karina who was wishing me a "katilicious" day and that made my day! So I think the Von- Dictionary was born accidentally, like the best ideas :)

New paparazzi pics at Il Sole L.A.

After it was known that Jesse is writting his autobiography and it's going to be released this year, they were shot by paparazzis on the 22nd Feb at night, after having dinner  at Il Sole Restaurant (LA)
Their wedding is near and there are new pictures almost every day. I just hope they leave them alone soon. It's a madness.

How Kat von D can change your life - must read!

I am honoured to share this link with all of you. Let me introduce you Liz Worth, an awesome writter who started her blog last year, The Radio Forest.
She has written books about punk history in Canada and poetry. Reading her blog I've enjoyed one of the most inspiring posts I've read about Kat von D recently, very good structured and a bit controversial about the role of TV in pop culture. Good point!

Her post is entitled How Kat von D can change your life and I agree in each and every point that she remark of her personality as inspiring. I want to take the chance to thank her for mentioning my blog in her post. Honoured.


I  think that muses can come in many forms. For me, this time, it came through a TV screen.

It wasn't long before I started following Kat Von D on Twitter and one of the first tweets of hers that popped up was about a chandelier she was going to be working on after she finished her last tattoo of the day. And I thought, a chandelier!? That's amazing! Because it is. I mean, how many people do you know get off work to go and make a chandelier? How many people do you know would even try to make something like that?

I agree with Liz because those are the facts that made me become a fan of hers: She works hard but not too hard, she is creative and makes things by herself, thinking outside the box. She's one of a kind.



It's the people who do whatever it takes, whatever works for them at that moment, that really resonate. They give us hope and optimism. They make all the hard work we're putting in seem worth it, because when we hear their stories we know we aren't the only ones who are hustling.

Kat Von D is someone who took the hard road to become a tattoo artist. She followed her heart, even when people close to her didn't approve, and that's a hard thing to do. And now, she's not only a tattoo artist, but makes art, draws with kids at a local hospital, has a fashion and makeup line, and has published two books.

KvD Clothing line in flesh

Being close to Kat von D style will never be as easy

She told us via Twitter yesterday letting her fans know more about her with every photo:

"Had a blast hangin at the booth for the KatVonD clothing line at @FashionCoterie in NY! So much inspiration"

It was the very first time that Kat showed her project in a real Fashion event. We can't see very much of her collection but it's larger than I expected to be! 

Dresses, leggings, jackets, and great colours. Can't wait to know if clothes are gonna be sold online. Hope so.

Guess who is gonna be the best fan of KvDC Clothing line : herself, obviously :)- kidding-  I wish she begins wearing her own clothes to see how they look! 

Recently she was shot by paparazzis wearing the clothes she had just bought in a shop so, I wonder how she deals with not revealing any secret about her line hihi.
