Hello everybody!
You may been wondering why I haven't been in contact with all of you after Kat von D Day. The reason was that my laptop was atttacked by a severe virus and I am currently fixing the problem.
Right now I am sitting in a Call Center, surrounded by 50 empty computers. There's only one single boy in his 16's that is trying to get a date online talking out loud. Weird situation here :)
Kat von D Day week was one of the best and worst of the year because my happiness for all your comments and collaborations was suddendly interrupted by the worst fear: losing each and every document related to not only Kat von D Day but personal docs, photos, and several ideas for posting, bookmarks, and all the info that I've reseached about Kat for more than one year and a half.... Unvaluable information that I pray I haven't lost completely.
I save copies of my info often, but Kat von D Day video was very recent.... I'm struggling with it and I think that if the final recovery works well, in a couple of days I'll be able to upload the video. Days that I need to reinstall aaaaaaaaaaaall the programs that are needed to edit videos and so on.
I needed to write this post to thank you each and every hashtag on Twitter, every word on Facebook, every picture that was sent with a rad T-shirt or artwork.. You guys gave me the best week of the year!!! That's why you deserve the best video so far!!
They say that crisis situations makes you stronger and wiser. During all these days I've been really worried because losing my documents could mean the end of this blog. But most of all, my only thought was that I couldn't talk to you and explain you what was going on.
Not being able to communicate with my readers and my friends was even worse. I didn't see the moment of going out of home and sit down in this chair.
I spent more than 10 hours a day rebooting, reinstalling and trying to save and copy all my things.. That was my routine for 4 days and I think that today I'll be able to restart it as it was new. (Yes, I own Windows)
I've tried to stay as calm as possible and took things as they came. I've seen myself as someone able to stay "cold minded" and focus on the problem. That made me feel proud of myself. I kept a postive attitude towards the problem. I am sure that this attitude helped me to be here right now.
During all the hours I was watching TV. Japan was destroyed and I was trying to fix my stupid laptop. I thought a lot about it. Everydat was worse than the other. Many people lost it all: their homes, their food, their relatives, all their material possesions. And they will start again from nothing. If they can do it, I can too - I thought.
When I end up with this post I am coming back home. I am sorry for not answering your emails, comments or tweets today, I haven't even checked them today.
Let's hope I can give you best news tomorrow!
Thanks for being here guys.
PS: This is really important!! Some of you told me that you couldn't send me your pics because I had planned uploading the video on the 10th. Well, as you know all the problems and if you send me the pics today, they are going to appear in the video.
You know the process: send me an email to howtolook@hotmail.com with you pic and name.
Paula B and Bianca, I'm waiting for your emails.
