Dedicated to

Dedicated to Eve. Best friend ever

A guest post by Sofia

Eve was the only person who loved you for who you are as a person not what you looked like or how you acted. She treated everyone exactly the same and loved life. When I found out she had cancer I was so shocked for her, I went round to her house and she was smiling and told me everything would be fine. I think I was more scared than she was at the time. Everyday would be a different treatment or operation. She had so much strength and she still loved life even though she was going through a lot. She found ways of cheering me up, playing scrabble, eating Ben and jerry’s, watching la ink she never cared about herself just about others. Family comes first she told me. She took being in hospital and being really sick like everyday life. We would talk for hours about the nice doctor on the 3rd floor or how amazing Kat looked on la ink.

When she was put into a coma i was so scared. Each day was going to be a constant fight for her but somehow she found the strength to carry on. I don’t know how she does it to this day. When she was brought round she told me one day at a time and then she logged on to twitter and told everyone she was ok.
She lost most of her memory but still remember our Kat von d party, which was the most amazing night ever.30 kat von d’s, the police paying a visit and a girl braking her ankle trying to walk in Kat von d inspired platforms it was a memory that made us laugh and appreciate that we can’t live without Kat.

She was so brave and strong for her family. I never left her side, when they told me she might not make it i didn’t know what to say or do. Eve said to me I’m going nowhere. A few weeks past, she was doing ok. Until her heart kept going out. Her smile had gone a I figured she knew this might be the end. But she kept fighting. A few days later she had more operations and the pain came and went. She managed to find a piano and played it for hours and hours. I suppose this was how she got rid of the pain. She would visit other really sick children on her ward and cheer them up.

We kept praying and praying for her. I think when Kat replied to her it gave her so much strength. Days then months passed and she was ok. But she was in so much pain she cried and cried, she knew she couldn’t fight much more. That evening she passed away, in front of our eyes. My best friend had been taken away from me. At first i thought it was a nightmare but it wasn’t. I knew that i had to look after her mum because eve was the only person i had.

Eve was the strongest, bravest, loving person i have ever met. I am so glad i could be part of her life. I can’t thank her enough for taking me in when i lost my parents and treating me like a sister. She was always there for you no matter what.

Love

PS: The blog is the best kat von d blog ever!

Sofia wrote a very special guest post for the blog. At the end she couldn't write a post about Kat without mention Eve. She made a big change in all of us, I think.
Sofia has poured all her heart in this post. A lettering that is impossible not to feel related to.

The picture above is her present: Eve sent Kat a German hat as she used to wear back in time on LA ink.. Mickey posted it on his blog.

Sofia is running Eve's Twitter. If you liked her post, please send her your comments back!
