Laura Sciacovelli for Marie Claire Italia, April.

Love how pictorially elegant these are. The haziness is an effect I adore, but it's not used much. Editorials seem to be favoured if they are really sharp and exact, and I get that that works best when you're pushing a product. But the haziness and the black and white is so evocative; the shoot becomes about a woman and her life or whatever adventure she's having instead of the actual invidiual pieces. It's pushing an idea, an escape, and I for one find the arty editorials completely memorable. Anyway, love this one. And awesome that such beautiful work is being produced by a woman photographer - we need more girls doing the high fashion editorials!
