Will you tattoo your teeth?

I have no idea of what kind of feelings the following images will move in you souls. To me, it's the last image that my eyes will  see before I fall asleep right after cliking on"publish button".

It seems there is someone in this planet who loves to tattoo or decor with portrait their molars.  They call it TOOTHTOOS. Awesome is not enough to describe.

Pinup tattoo style

This is an old picture that reminds me a lot KatvonD's style being tattooed.

Dita von Teese wanted a star in her face

At times these girls has more in common than one could have never suspect.

Although Dita von Teese is probably one of the women (and celebs) with the most beautiful pale skin, she has been a tattoo lover since her youth.
Even more, what it comes to portraits, she asks for people do deep research before tattooing a portrait. Since she has seen many fans showing her not very good artworks inspired on her.

Dita had second thoughts about tattoing and instead of becoming a kind of rockabilly, she is a vintage alive. I consider her a brilliant and intelligent woman who can be called a "myth" without any doubt.
Despite we live in 2010, in many countries her art is banned as pornographic.
Burlesque is not stripper, ladies and gentlemen.
Someone can tell me when we are all grow up, mentally, spiritually, open-minded and everything between?

Returning to the topic, Dita, in her research for turning a real pin up, had a wish to come true.

Some of you may heard it before, but not many people knows that Dita von Teese mole is actually a tattoo.
Nobody goes in there asking for a beauty mark. You have to understand that I was pretty eccentric. I was always drawing hearts and stars in that spot. I went in thinking I wanted a star there, but they wouldn't do it. They were like, "We're not putting a star on your face."

Not the typical syle icon

Found a really well written article about Kat's tattoo style I wanted to share with you guys. I hope you enjoy.
Kat Von D may not be your typical style icon – she doesn’t attend fashion shows or wear the latest designers but she is iconic in her own way. Instead of being stylish with her clothing, she is stylish with her body. Kat’s body is covered in elaborate tattoos – some designed by herself. Although more permanent, her style is definitely unique and different.

I personally like her facial tattoos – the stars on the side of her eye and the lightning bolt on her cheek. Each tattoo makes up an outfit for Kat

Dita von Teese mole is a tattoo!

I had no idea.. I though it was fake but not a tattoo!

Source http://tattoosdayuk.wordpress.com by Mel Roberts: I bet a lot of you had no idea that Dita Von Teese has a tattoo. It’s clearly visible and everyone who knows who she is has seen it. Stop straining your eyes looking at the picture, I’ll just tell you- you see the mole on the side of her face she’s so famous for? That’s a tattoo!  I really love Dita’s use of tattooing her mole on instead of having to draw it on every day, it kind of makes tattooing useful in it’s own way

"Von D helping fuel for the female tattoo boom." - Teneile Napoli, illustrator

Painted ladies become poster girls for tattoo culture

Teinele Napoli is a poster girl for the fast-growing female tattoo culture, and a walking advertisement for her own "ink shop".
"I was an illustrator with a diploma in visual art and I always thought the tattoo culture was pretty cool," she said.
"I'm still illustrating, but now it's on people's skin instead of on paper."
Ms Napoli will show off her tattoos at the Surf 'n' Ink international tattoo convention on the Gold Coast this week.
She said tattooed celebrities like MTV VJ Ruby Rose and Kat Von D, star of tattoo reality show LA Ink, were helping fuel the female tattoo boom.
"When I started commercial tattooing about four years ago, I was one of only about 10 female artists," she said.
"Now, there are nearly as many females as there are guys doing it."
Ms Napoli said she had no concerns about more tattoos – or how she would look when she was older.
"What's better, colourful skin or liver spots?" she said.
Ms Napoli said her daughter Amity, 6, thought her tattoos looked "rad".
The convention will run from Friday to Sunday at the Gold Coast Convention Centre.

Kat von D: I am just a big nerd

Kat von D was interviewd by Fox.
Read part of it. Link below

"people judge you about how you look and I’ve learned just not to care. I am just a big nerd. People think I am this huge rocker chic, but I am really just a softy at heart. I like to read a lot; I like to play classical music.”

“I am challenging people, women especially to think outside the box. I think people in general are scared to express themselves whether through makeup or music, so it is really cool when I meet other women and they thank me for making them feel normal. It is something I battle with …”

"it’s a representation of how you can be feminine and beautiful and look however you want to look,” Von D added. “But I usually try to talk people out of getting tattoos that celebs have, I think tattoos [are] all about individuality. People bring in pics of Pam Anderson with the barbed wire, but I like to encourage individuality.”

Left Leg Yearbook: Candy Skulls

The picture below belongs to a Spanish illustrator, Sergio Mora (1975) aka Magicomora who did an exhibition in 2007 called Kamasutra.

His illustrations seems to be drawn by the pure glance of a naughty child.
Mora has a collection of paintings sailtor tattooes inspired and that influence can be seen in some paintings of this exhibit too. Pic's titles are written on a kind of papir.
His style: lowbrow culture, pop art. surreal, fun, oneiric, very colourful; some details recalls me a famous El Bosco's Inferno paiting - @Venice if you want to see it ;) -

Both skulls are a "vision" of Mexican Sugar Skulls given on the celebration of the Day of the Dead (November, 2nd). I see her tattoo as a symbol of her attachment to her South American roots, thought now I don't remember if she ever explained the idea behind this tattoo :\

Besides, I'd like to point the fact that Kamasutra considers women naked bodies sacred because them inspire desire not sin. Nowadays, everybody knows about the book, have read it, have heard of it, get some ideas (^^), whatever.. but How is possible that their culture has change so much? How everything could have been if our world would have been less dominated by Christianity?

So, I hope you guys like the painting La Petite Morte, no need to explain what death is, isn't it ;)

Love & Sex for you all!
xx

Ville Valo: Tattoing More Idols Do you think it's a Kat's?

My idol Ville Valo showed up one of his new tattooes on May @Metal Hammer Awards
Do you think it's a Kat's?

First I heard it was a finnish actress and I couldn't help thinking in Maila Nurmin, aka Vampira

Recent infos say that the tattoo belongs to Mayra Deren. She is another tortured soul. Died at age 44 by brain hemorrhage brought on by extreme malnutrition and drugs she is considered a key figure in the creation of the underground / New American Cinema.
Meshes of the Afternoon (1943) is her most "famous" film.

Detailed story behind, here.

WARNINGS

Don't get tattoos to look like her.

I think it's time to post  a "Warning Picture" instead of posting about her.

As I am super focused in having coherence in this Blog, trying to follow a conducting thread, giving sense, posting related subjects, and so on.. think it's time to post this here as a reminder and a reflection.

Few months ago, Kimberley Vlaeminck, 18, Belgian,  tattooed 56 stars in her face.
At first, she accused her tattoer, Rouslain Toumaniantz, tattoing her 50 stars while she was sleeping during the procedure.
She said she only wanted 3 (or 6, depends the source you read)
"She agreed, but when her father and boyfriend saw it, the trouble started," -said him.
Few days later, a local TV Ned 3, uncovered the farse. They recorded her she admitting that she loved her tattoo apart from the 3 stars closest to her nose and  that she lied because she was afraid of her father's punishment.
Now the tattoer is free of paying back the 65 € and has no report. However, he isn't pissed off because he got some advertisement.

I would  stick one's neck out for She REALLY wanted to Look LIKE KvD and that led her to awful consecuences. Lasering face doesn't sound funny at all.
And I say it because : Ms Vlaeminck has said she wants to keep the tattoos on her forehead but would have the rest removed. As it's to say: I still want 3 stars as the most known girl who wears stars in her face, aka KvD. It' sad.

It's sad because it was so obvious from the very beggining that it was all about a kid liying.
Nobody falls asleep while tattoing as noboby falls asleep while having their legs waxed!
It was sad how all media started to talk about it, about tattoos, about parents permissions, about society, as a foolish thing sure, and nothing about the depper side of worshiping, teen wannabes, imitations going to far...

And as this is said and done, tomorrow I'm back to the positive inspirations, playing with clothes' puzzles, pics, songs and who Caroline looks like :P
I'm pretty "Meet Faces" - I don't know how they say..connecting dots? My little hobby

Never do that to look like sbdy else, sweethearts..  Poor stupid girl :(
